This £2 coin dated 2006 was released to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the English mechanical and civil engineer who designed a network of tunnels, bridges and viaducts revolutionised rail travel.

This design features Brunel in front of a section of the Royal Albert bridge which carries the Cornish main line railway in and out of Cornwall.
