Now on display at a museum in Portsmouth, the Mary Rose was a revolutionary warship that was ahead of her time in naval combat. She was built specifically at the request of Henry VIII and after 33 year in service she met her fate during a 1545 battle.

The Mary Rose can be seen in full colour on the reverse of this 24-carat gold plated commemorative. The obverse is truly unique as it features a real ruby centred on a Tudor Rose.
